The 27th season of Varsity Vocals tournaments is here! We are thrilled that once again, so many a cappella groups have chosen to set competition goals and share their talent and creativity on our stage.
This year, our ICCA and ICHSA tournaments are planned to be fully live and in-person. We will follow whatever COVID protocols our venues require us to implement. At the moment, there are no restrictions. If and when that changes, we will alert our patrons and competitors.
We do have one ICCA region and a few ICHSA regions with fewer than 5 quarterfinals, which would result in fewer than our maximum 10 groups at semifinals. In those regions, we will hold a virtual wild card round in order to advance additional groups to semifinals. Our intention with these virtual rounds is to give as many groups as possible as many options and chances as possible to participate.
Unfortunately, there are other regions where we have had more applicants than we can accept. If you do not see your group’s name on this list, you have been added to a waitlist. The deadline for groups to withdraw without penalty is December 1, and on occasion we do have groups who must withdraw. If you are not invited to participate by December 1, you will receive a full refund of your entry fee.
It is an honor and a privilege to provide this platform for so many talented people to share their music and their message. We are truly humbled to be in our 27th year of experiencing your enthusiasm for creating a cappella music and seeing it live on our stages. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you. ICCA 2023 Lineup
The 27th ICCA tournament will feature 6,400 performers in 420 groups from universities across 37 US states, Canada and the United Kingdom.
ICHSA 2023 Lineup
The 18th ICHSA tournament will feature 3,100 performers in 212 groups from high schools across 26 states.
