Alaina Wegner joined the Varsity Vocals team in 2023 and proudly serves as the Southwest ICCA Producer from her home base in Tucson, Arizona.

Alaina’s a cappella journey began with Amplified at the University of Arizona, where she competed in the ICCA for four years. She spent two years as the group’s Music Director and arranger, earning multiple Outstanding Arrangement awards and CARA nominations. In 2023, she helped lead Amplified to become the first group from Arizona to advance to the ICCA Finals. With the ICCA being such a formative part of her college experience, Alaina is proud to now give back and support current competitors.

Alaina holds degrees in Family Studies and Human Development and Music Education. She currently works as a freelance arranger, voice teacher, and director of Solara, a treble high school a cappella group with the Tucson Girls Chorus.

Alaina is passionate about her role at Varsity Vocals and is dedicated to creating an accessible space where students can create, perform, and achieve what they never thought possible.

“I love the unique experience of ICCA, where students are encouraged to create their own art and have the opportunity to showcase and be recognized for their hard work and talents. It’s incredibly empowering.”
